Travel Without a Valid Fare

Traveling on a bus without a valid payment arrangement constitutes a criminal offense.

A passenger who has not paid for the ride or fails to present their ticket upon request may be required to pay an increased fine, in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Ordinance.

Therefore, it’s important to know:

• ▪️Every passenger must pay for their ride using a Rav-Kav card, EMV credit card, or mobile payment app
• ▪️After payment, the ticket or digital payment confirmation must be validated using the designated device installed on the bus
• ▪️Showing the payment method to the driver or inspector does not replace validation on the device
